The Ekiti website used to have the Ekiti anthem being sung anytime I logged on to the site and this used to give me a sense that I'm at home even though I'm far from Ekitiland. Can anybody help me by reinstating that anthem on this website?
Thanks for making up your mind to assist me. In fact I'm going to make the anthem my ringtone on my mobile phone.

There is a saying 'Knowledge is Power' And Power is broadly defined as "the capacity to bring about change." but from what I can see in Ekiti things have not changed for the better for most Ekiti people.I hope we use this abundance of knowledge that we've got to better our life and generations to come otherwise we will be living a myth.Governor Segun Oni please actualise this believe. julius 2008-03-06 08:19:39
I think they should carry us all along and take our requests seriously Adejugbe Adedeji 2008-02-28 20:34:40
I think I like the concept but please let there be an avenue on the site whereby people in the same line of discipline will be able to link and help each other.

This is a great site and its one of the initiative that bring Ekiti out of obscurity.Let us however use it for the right cause and not as a trash site. And to the motivators of the site i am saying keep it up.thanks kemi davies 2006-06-04 08:49:06

yeah oga Jandor, u shouldn't ask mi what i called myself (dat's rude),i am a bonafide Olori not inagije. I'm not a politician and i've never met Fayose in mi life and not even looking 4wrd to know or meet him for any reason, i'm happily married and comfortable where i live, secondly i've never been to Afao,Ireland or JJc in UK.

Anyway i did not say u shd not criticise, i said u people shd pray 4 the state and whoever God puts there to rule, then criticise without mentioning anybody's mother
afterall awa naa ma dagba lojo kan.

Secondly jandor, if you are there tomorrow av it in mind that people will do the same thing no matter how good you are that was why i said we are somehow fastidious.

Whiteman do criticise but not to wash their dirty clothes outside like we black does. How do you want other people to respect us when we disgrace ourselves publicly.Like you said
we shall see, yeah let's wait until we see.

Woo Jandor am still on mi point that "KA BOWO FUN AGBA" especially parents. I'm not interested in your so call polititics.

Looking 4wrd to hear from you again but not in a rude way.

olori yemisi or what did u call ur self u display fully dat u are an african and i perceived u are not a J J C IN UK but im surprise that u against the idea or pressure group and systematically lobbying to become an associate to fayose as i said we shall see. UK that u are and enjoying white man infrastucture dont forget that white man do everything because he dont want to give pressure group any chance to talk or sorry may be u are from afao or u once live in ireland u will soon see what we saw. RIBADU we makes his announcement soon for 24 corrupt guv. our gov. is most corupt his hungry for money in IRELAND never stop even now inside money he is dividing ekiti people and profiting from ignorance of our people
we are AD in ekiti we foundate AD and yoruba state acept it from us hausa want to lure everybody into PDP so that we will be protecting hausa interest that is why hausa and obasanjo send more money to FAYOSE SO THAT HE CAN WOO ekiti people to PDP WHAT DID U FEEL OR DOES IT SOUND IN UR HEAR reasonable that hausa eat meat and send its skin for ekiti people to eat no my sister AD HAVE A GOOD PROGRAM and our interest in AD is to build a foundation that will last forever for yooba state such a vision of AWOLOWO NOT THAT OF BALEWA VISION OF ADEKUNLE FAJUYI NOT THAT OF ABACHA OR AGUNYI IRONSI ANTI MI N MO RI O RI E SE PELE ORI A GBE EKITI DEBI URE ASE!

To be honest with you guys, this website is superb but the most painful aspect of it is the way we expose and disgrace ourselves on this website. I think we should learn how to respect our people. If we don't condemn a traditional ruler today,we'll condemn the governor or whoever is on top.

Anyway mi advice to the people writing jagons is, if u have any problem with the governor or some1 else, i think as a child of God u shd arrange a meeting then express urself and settle whatever u might av in mind and move on with ur life.

Another thing is that if u want to abuse ur governor, why not leave the poor mother dat doesn't know anyhing about the post alone for God's sake.Remember if we are in this old woman's shoes we will support our children in any post they are. I remembered some1 was criticising her about using a jeep or being a prophetess after her child became a governor. I'm even happy dat she didn't become a witch but the servant of God. mama keep on praying because i also want mi children to become a governor 1 day. Isu omo lo jina fun yin je. (E JE KA BOWO FUN AGBA).

Let us all pray for our state and for whoever God puts there as the ruler, it is Fayose today, it might be some1 from our family tomorrow. If God says it is going to be the same person tomorrow, beloved, there is nothing we can do.

I remembered when i came home(Ngr) in 2001 during Adebayo regime, people were complaining about making the state capital a
one way system, now Fayose again. O ga o , a wa fastidious sha.

Anyway we just av to change for better and move on.

Quite honestly, I just stumbled on your site a few minutes ago and I just ran thru a few topics and responses. All I can say is that the site is a laudable idea and should soon attract more people visitors.
We Ekitis are very passionate about our ideals and forthright in our expression no doubt, but I wish my brothers and sisters would focus on issues and substance so that new members would take us seriously and contribute. I believe the intention of the site is not just to give Voice but also to educate.

I really comend you guys for this wonderful job you are doing, may the Good Lord deliver us and and our state from this our unfortunate Animal called the governor
it's high time the true ekiti sons and daughter rise up and join force with the collective rescue misson of ekiti,to send the monster the shameless governor that will ever rule ekiti state back to the street where he belongs.
meanwhile,we at home are ready to fight him with the last drop of our blood so that the generation of the unborn children we not be cursing us even in grave.
thanx

No doubt the Ekiti website has provided a forum where the citizens of the state can exchange ideas and voice their views about the activities of the state. I feel so much proud to be associated with a state that has produced so much intelligent and highly versed intellectuals that have contribute so much to the development of Nigeria. God bless Ekiti state.

dear all,
as one who comes from this region, its my joy to identify with my brothers and sisters from Ekiti.
i must honestly say through this medium that one tends to receive conflicting signals about goings on in ekitiland. are we making progress, or we are at a standstill? one thing is clear: the whole nation is watching us and they will judge our progress as all other states are judged.. my prayer is that ekiti be blessed with visionary leadership that will bring out Gods best in us.. God bless ekitiland, and give grace to the leadership to serve the people..
Many thanks,

Good Thinking!

I never really thought of it but then this message sent me to the site. Not bad at all. A lot is being done to showcase Ekiti even here in Chicago.

I am proud to be from Ekiti for all that the state stands for. Hope the present administration is pushing for improvements especially working on bad roads (e.g. Ayetoro to Igogo). People should be able to travel home without falling sick in the process.

Thanks to the people behind the web and please keep updating it and make sure the right poeple get our messages.

I feel elated to been introduced to fine website of this kind on Ekiti State and her people. I am Ekiti "Half Cast" but I feel more of an Ekiti indigene than my Father state. I am proud of every Ekiti man/woman. Kudos to our dynamic Governor Ayo Fayose and his able executives of which my dear uncle is a member "Elder Segun Bankole" (Ekiti State HOS) James Olaosebikan 2005-04-29 07:24:31

I am proud to be an Ekiti man. Presently I am in America, but whenever I think of Ekitiland-fountain of knowledge and land of honor; I am always full of joy and happiness that I am an Ekiti man. I just want to encourage you to keep up the good work that you have been doing. Do not forget to tell our leaders in Ekiti that they should strive to develop Ekiti to the best of their strngth and ability. Tell them we are proud of them. Ekiti is the most blessed state in Nigeria where the sky is not the limit but the base. Ekiti is a land of many opportunities but self interests [pre][/pre]of our leaders have not made these potential opportunities to manifest. This will not happen until we put the state first before our own interests. My prayer is for God to give us sincere LEADERS not RULERS who will not be greedy to see themselves as somebody from a particular village, rather see themselves as a true Ekiti man and remove the pull him down syndrome from us. I am proud to be an Ekiti man anytime, anywhere. God bless Ekiti State, God bless Nigeria ;D ;D ;D Kolawunmi Aluko 2005-04-15 06:59:27
:PIt is indisputably obvious that Ekiti is one of the the youngest State in Nigeria. What is however encouraging about this state is the dynamic changes it has witnessed since the inception of the present administration.Though there had been criticism here and there, the the developmental work is still going on!Whatever you do in life, people will talk.If you do good, they will talk. And If you do bad ,they will talk as well.THUS, I IMPLORE OUR ABLE EKITI- MAN TO CONTINUE WITH HIS GOOD JOB.MAY THE ALMIIGHTY GOD CONTINUE TO BE WITH YOU,AMEN! :P FATOYE TOYIN 2005-03-19 05:09:49
It's a good thing to happen in the young state. how I wish we can unite and speak in one voice? Politics is already splitting us. When are we learning to bring more good things to our people?
Anyway kudos to Fayose.

Hi all,
"Places do not people; people make places". You guys need to be careful of what you think about our state. The point is, "You become what you think". Your thought controls you and have a great influence on your destiny.
For me , I flag the banner of Ekiti State- the fountain of knowledge, even here in South Africa.
I believe wholeheartedly that as long as you are from Ekiti, you should stand for the best and nothing less.
Regards.

It is certainly a good development to have a state website. I think the site should be improved upon to include local news, history of each town(I will be available to update you with Iyin Ekiti's) and a networking corner.

Could you please update your pages especially the news and the goverment profile. We learnt through other media that the former speaker was removed last week but very unlike you, you did not carry this important news item for us to read and belief. Did you have sympathy for sola Ajigbolamu or is it a delibrate oversight? I can't believe that the whole saga that went bye in the house last week was gone without any mention of it by your news site. akiwonwon 2004-07-25 18:11:42
